i shook his hand! we chatted!
he is taller and trimmer than expected. thick grayish hair that is quickly getting very white.
he has some serious charisma. i wanted to ask for a pic but i chickened out.
i am all distracted now.

omg!!! freaking cool! figures that after living in DC-metro all your life, it took moving to austin for you to start meeting politicos. you should have tried to get a job with his foundation -- now THAT would be a cool career move.
